LeMars: There when it matters most.

LeMars is one of two “hometown teams” when it comes to insurance coverage. Based in Iowa, LeMars provides coverage for personal, farm, and commercial risks through independent agencies across Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and Oklahoma. Founded in 1901 by a group of Iowa farmers and business owners, they started out as German Mutual Insurance Association. During WWI, the name changed from German Mutual to LeMars Mutual, and they continued to grow until 2004 when they joined with Donegal Group of Pennsylvania. As a result of that conversion, LeMars is now a wholly owned subsidiary and member company of Donegal Insurance Group, and you may see the Donegal name on many of your policy documents.

MAX, Insurance the way it should be: fair, faithful, socially responsible

MAX, or Mutual Aid Exchange, joined the Insurance Center Team in August, 2013. They pride themselves on being a fair, faithful, and socially responsible member-owned insurance program that provides excellent coverage and claims service at a fair and competitive price. We are able to write home, farm, and church products through Max, and find them to be very competitive for rural and small-town properties in particular.

Do More: we make it easy for you at Safeco, a Liberty Mutual Company

Safeco started in 1923 as General Insurance Company, based in Seattle, Washington. During the 1960s, the General renamed itself Safeco, which stood for “Selective Auto and Fire Insurance Company of America”, the name of one of General's subsidiaries. The company continued to grow, and in September 2008, became a part of Liberty Mutual Insurance. Currently, we only write Auto and motorcycle policies through Safeco, as they often form a nice fit with MAX home policies.
